Inregistrarile audio profesionale nu fost niciodata asa de de accesibile inainte de aparitia pe piata a seriei Indigo de la Echo Audio. Indigo IO ofera o intrare si o iesire stereo pe jack de 1/8", pe un card Cardbus tip II, alimentat direct de la laptop.

Convertoarele excelente care functioneaza la 24biti/96kHz ofera calitatea de care ai nevoie, iar cablul de 1.8m inclus in pachet ofera interconectarea pe RCA sau pe jack de 1/4".

O trasatura unica a Indigo I/O este abilitatea sa de a folosi iesiri "virtuale". Interfata este vazuta de catre aplicatii ca si cum ar avea 8 iesiri separate, care sunt mixate digital inspre iesirea fizica folosind consola virtuala de mixaj proprie a Indigo I/O-ului cu ajutorul DSP-ului on-board. Aceasta functie face Indigo I/O compatibila cu toate programele audio cunoscute. Iar cu ajutorul driverelor "multi-client", mai multe aplicatii pot trimite date audio spre iesire in acelasi timp.
